Burj Dubai

The Burj Dubai is located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Construction began on September, 2004, and it is expected to be completed and ready for occupation in September 2009. The tower's architect is Adrian Smith who worked with Skidmore, Owings and Merrill (SOM) until 2006. SOM is architecture and engineering firm in charge of the project. The total budget for the Burj Dubai project is about USD 4.1 billion and for the entire new 'Downtown Dubai', USD 20 billion. As of 12 May 2008, Burj Dubai has reached a height of 636 m. The design of Burj Dubai is ostensibly derived from the patterning systems embodied in Islamic architecture, with tripled-lobed footprints of the building based on abstracted version of the desert flower hymenocallis native to the region. The tower is composed of the three elements arranged around a central core. As the tower rises from the flat desert base, setbacks occur at each element in an upward spiraling pattern, decreasing the cross section of the tower as it reaches towards the sky. At the top, the central core emerges and its sculpted to form a finishing spire. A Y-shaped floor plan maximizes views of the Persian Gulf. Viewed from above or front the base, the form also evokes the onion domes of Islamic architecture. During the design process, engineers rotated the building 120 degrees from its original layout to reduce stress from prevailing winds.The tower, at its tallest point, sways a total of 3.35 meters (9.35ft), with more than 160 completed floors. My Dream House

My dream house is a simple and comfortable for my family. I don't want a big house like a celebrity, politician and businessman because or me house is a place that to take a rest.Most important thing is the house is near to the mosque, school and hospital. Because this is simple facilities and people use it almost everyday. The style is modern and mix traditional because i want to continue Malay house heritage. The house has 4 bedrooms, 1 prayer room, 3 bathrooms, a living room and a kitchen. On the compound of my house, it has a small garden and pond. So that i can refresh my mind after work a day. I hope my dream will come true. One day for sure...
